# Austin Visual Packaging

Purpose: turn Austin's visual taste and call feedback into a reusable short-form packaging system for Sam/Nancy videos.

Use this skill when Sam mentions:
- Austin + visual packaging
- the 10:30 call
- Kallaway-style packaging
- first frames, hooks, overlays, typography, video packaging, or making videos stand out
- creating/updating templates for Dishrated, Creature Beach, Shell ID, Panimate, or Habit Garden

## Required workflow

1. If preparing for the call, read `references/call-prep.md` and update/send the prep doc if needed.
2. If Austin gave notes, capture the exact notes first; do not dilute them into generic advice.
3. Convert Austin's feedback into concrete reusable rules:
   - first-frame formula
   - typography/overlay rules
   - motion/pacing rules
   - brand-specific templates
   - CTA patterns
   - quality gate
4. Update `references/packaging-system.md` with durable Austin guidance.
5. If the guidance changes real video production, also update the broader `shortform-visual-packaging` skill or its references.
6. For any rendered/posted video, verify proof frames: opening, 1s, mid, final.

## Core judgment

Good packaging makes the viewer understand the premise before they decide whether to keep watching.

If a video looks like raw footage with text slapped on, it fails.

If the first frame is not readable in under one second, it fails.

If the format cannot be repeated as a series, it is not yet a system.
